Thousands register with CSC for new job openings

The 68th session of employment registration at the Civil Service Commission (CSC) for jobs in the public sector, which began on Friday, 13 September and will continue till the 27th of this month, witnessed an avalanche of job aspirants thronging the CSC office on the first day.

More than 6,000 new applications have been received by CSC so far, including from university graduates who studied abroad and had their certificates already accredited by the Ministry of Education and Higher Education.

Regarding the automated linkage between the CSC and the Public Institute for Social Security (PIFSS), an informed source revealed that in the past the Commission had turned down the registration of approximately 2,000 military personnel who had resigned from the defense ministry and applied for a civilian job, but had registered in the Central Employment System before entering the military corps.

Clarifying on the registration process, the source said that the CSC conducts four employment registration session each year, which roughly corresponds to the dates of graduation of students from the Public Authority for Applied Education and Training (PAAET), the Kuwait University and graduates of universities abroad, to ensure that it does not interfere with official holidays, the Holy Month of Ramadan or the Hajj season in order to allow the maximum number of people to apply for the registration.

The next session of employment registration, the 69th session, will be held from 6 to 20 December of this year.
