Temporary tents to be removed from beaches and other areas

Temporary tents set up on beaches and other areas are illegal while the Council of Ministers’ decision to prevent any gatherings to curb the spread of the coronavirus, Al Rai daily reported. There are strict procedures under health regulations that exert tight control during the current period with the looming threat of the coronavirus.

The director of the Cleaning and Road Works Department at the Jahra Municipality Branch, Fahad Al-Quraifah, confirmed to Al-Rai that “the law is clear, and gathering in one place is not permitted. Therefore, beach-goers must cooperate with government agencies and adhere to the procedures, especially since the process is temporary. Later, conditions will change, and the situation will return to normal.”

He pointed out that “the role of the municipality’s monitoring teams to deal with the phenomenon of tents on beaches and other areas is to follow-up, monitor, and uphold the laws and cabinet decisions.
