The Director-General of the General Administration of Customs has imposed a temporary ban on the import of all types of live birds, hatching eggs and one-day-old chicks and broiler chickens from France, Iran, Belgium, Pakistan, and Bulgaria.
This decision comes due to the emergence of highly pathogenic H5N1 avian influenza in those countries, reports Al-Qabas daily.
