The Governor of Hawalli and the Acting Governor of the Capital, Ali Al-Asfar, confirmed that the Tourism Enterprises Company is currently developing several tourist sites. A local daily reported that the governorate contains two sites that are under works, namely the Ras Al-Ard Club project and the Yacht Club project, in addition to the Al-Shaab Marine Club, the Salmiya Basins Complex, and Al-Shaab Park, under the Global Winterland project.
In addition, Al-Asfar said that the governorate is working on following up tourism projects that serve citizens, pointing out to the importance of the tourism factor for the enjoyment of citizens. According to the official, the showbiz site was previously under a legal dispute and awaiting the final ruling to determine the development plan, in addition to the four international restaurant sites on the waterfront
Furthermore, he expressed his appreciation to the efforts made by the TEC to implement its projects as required, stressing the provision of all means of support for citizens.
