The General Directorate of Nationality and Passports busted a Syrian resident, who bought Kuwaiti nationality in 1986 in exchange for money. The resident was referred to the Public prosecution office, documenting his confession, Al Qabas daily reported.
During the preliminary investigations, the accused admitted that he had bought Kuwaiti nationality through fraud, to enjoy its benefits. For the past three months, he was hiding in Qatar and upon his return to Kuwait, he was arrested after the conclusion of the investigation against him.
