The Kuwait International Airport is witnessing a big travel movement, with thousands of passengers departing on a daily basis, coinciding with the Eid Al-Adha holidays, and the start of the summer vacation season, when most of the people try to escape to cold weather conditions in the east and west.

Meanwhile, the Directorate-General of Civil Aviation, in cooperation and coordination with the authorities operating at the airport, has mobilized the workforce to its fullest capacity, to accommodate hundreds of flights and thousands of passengers, and to facilitate departure and arrival to prevent crowding and congestion at arrival and departure lounges.

Al-Otaibi added, “As part of the measures that have been put in place to reduce congestion, a larger number of baggage weighing counters have been introduces, in addition to increasing the number of workers at passport counters, setting up barriers to regulate the entry and exit of travelers, providing sufficient labor to transport bags through ground service companies.

He added the destinations that most of the flights will fly to include Dubai, Cairo, Jeddah, Riyadh, Turkey and Europe.

He appealed to travelers to report at the airport three hours before the take-off time, to complete the travel procedures to help the authorities maintain the flow of movement at the airport.
