Yesterday, the death of a child at the hands of his stepmother who tortured him with electric shocks a crime that shook the Iraqi society in Baghdad, prompted the authorities to arrest her as she tried to escape.
The crime took place in Al-Khatib district in Baghdad, where the 4-year-old “Musa Walaa” died after being tortured by his stepmother in the midst of anger, and demanding the maximum penalty for his stepmother.
The father Musa, found him lying on the ground in his house last Thursday, and he died after being tortured by his wife, and it was found that he was subjected to violent torture, electric shocks, knives, and salt.
According to eyewitnesses, “the family of the father of the child filed a lawsuit against his wife after the police managed to arrest her while she was trying to flee the area.
An officer who witnessed the crime scene explained that “signs of severe torture appeared on the child’s body.”
