Special Envoy of Bhutan King delivers messages to the HH Amir

Upon the command of His Majesty the King of Bhutan, His Royal Highness Prince Jigyel Ugyen Wangchuck visited Kuwait as the Special Envoy of His Majesty from 18 – 20th October 2020.

On 19th October 2020, His Royal Highness the Prince called on His Highness Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, Amir of the State of Kuwait at the Seif Palace and offered deepest sympathy and heartfelt condolence on behalf of His Majesty the King, His Majesty the 4th King of Bhutan, Government and the people of Bhutan on the sad demise of His Highness the Amir of Kuwait Late Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah and stated that the people of Bhutan stand in solidarity with the people of Kuwait as they mourn the loss of the Late Amir who was a true friend of Bhutan.

During the call on, the Special Envoy of His Majesty the King also delivered personal letters from His Majesty King Jigme Khesar Namgyel Wangchuck and His Majesty Jigme Singye Wangchuck, Fourth King of Bhutan expressing their condolences and also extending felicitations on the assumption of the high office of the Amir of Kuwait.

On the same day, His Royal Highness the Prince also called on His Highness Sheikh Mishaal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, Crown Prince of the State of Kuwait and conveyed his deepest sympathy and condolence on the demise of Late Amir and delivered personal letters from His Majesty King Jigme Khesar Namgyel Wangchuck and His Majesty Jigme Singye Wangchuck, Fourth King of Bhutan expressing condolences and also extending felicitations on the assumption of the high office of the Crown Prince of Kuwait.

His Royal Highness also met His Highness Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, Prime Minister of Kuwait, His Highness Sheikh Nasser Al-Mohammed Al-Ahmed Al-Sabah, His Excellency Sheikh Dr. Ahmed Nasser Al-Mohammed        Al-Ahmed Al-Sabah, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kuwait and offered his heartfelt condolences on the passing away of the Late Amir.

His Highness Sheikh Nasser Al-Mohammed Al-Ahmed Al-Sabah hosted a lunch banquet at Shuwaikh Palace in honour of His Royal Highness Prince Jigyel Ugyen Wangchuck and accompanying Royal Entourage.

His Excellency Sheikh Dr. Ahmed Nasser Al-Mohammed Al-Ahmed Al-Sabah, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kuwait hosted a dinner banquet at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in honour of His Royal Highness Prince Jigyel Ugyen Wangchuck and accompanying Royal Entourage.

The Special Envoy of His Majesty the King was accompanied by His Excellency Dr. Tandi Dorji, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Mr. Sonam Karma Tshering, Secretary General of the Bhutan Olympic Committee. The Royal Entourage is scheduled to depart Kuwait on 20th October 2020.
