It is with joy that we receive the celebration of the 61st anniversary of the National Independence of Kuwait and the 31st anniversary of its Liberation, very significant days for all Kuwaitis.
In this regard, I want to convey personally and on behalf of the Government and People of Spain a message of friendship to our Kuwaiti friends as well as our warmest congratulations to H.H. the Amir Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, to the Crown Prince, H.H. Sheikh Mishal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah.
At the moment we are all still suffering the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic of the last two painful years, but at the same time it is a moment when we start seeing the light at the end of the tunnel. I would also like to express our appreciation to the Kuwaiti Authorities and the Kuwaiti people for the intense efforts carried along this time, showing resilience and determination to overcome the difficulties, getting us all closer to the end of this complicated period.
Let me express in this important festivity our desire and best wishes of prosperity and happiness to all Kuwaiti people under the patronage of His Highness the Amir and His Highness the Crown Prince, as well as my personal conviction that many good things and news are to come in the present year in the bilateral relation between the Kingdom of Spain and the State of Kuwait, which will mark a stronger rapprochement in the strategic and historic partnership between both nations. We will keep working hard to this aim for the benefit of both our societies.
