On the behalf of the Government and the people of the Republic of Korea, I would like to extend my warmest congratulations and best wishes to His Highness the Amir Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Mishal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, His Highness the Prime Minister Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah and the people of the State of Kuwait on the 61st anniversary of National Day and the 31st anniversary of Liberation Day of Kuwait.
Kuwait has played a crucial role in bringing about regional and global peace and stability through its relentless good offices, and has inspired us by continuing to be a World Humanitarian Center.
Our similar experiences of rising from the scourge of war and achieving remarkable development and prosperity in the face of adversity only make our two countries’ bond of more than four-decade friendship even stronger. The Republic of Korea is and will always be very proud to have played a part in supporting Kuwait during the Iraqi invasion in 1991.
Kuwait is a great country inasmuch as the greatness is more about the ability to transform our aspirations for building peace and helping others into reality.
Kuwait is a shining country and has a brighter future ahead. It is not only because it has an enormous potential for further prosperity but because a best friend like Korea will always be together with Kuwait.
