The administrative sector of the Ministry of Education has informed the Minister Dr. Ali Al-Mudhaf that a crisis is brewing because the cleaning workers say, “We don’t want to work in schools.”
The sector said about 1,400 applicants passed the interviews when the vacancies were announced and when the Civil Service Commission approved the appointments many of them declined after they learned they will take home just 190 dinars at the end of each month, reports a local Arabic daily.
An official source told the daily the administrative sector contacted many of them to obtain medical examination papers and complete the procedures, but they have refrained from getting in touch with the ministry.”
