Kuwait’s Minister of Social Affairs Maryam Al-Aqeel said Thursday she filed two lawsuits to the public prosecutor regarding voice recordings posted on social media regarding alleged bribes and abuse of power.
Al-Aqeel, also Minister of State for Economic Affairs, said the first voice recording was allegedly to board member of Saad Al-Abdullah Cooperative Society, and the second for an expatriate working in a ration branch in Abdullah Al-Mubarak Cooperative Society.
The two recordings contained alleged incidents related to bribes and abuse of office, she said.
