Yesterday, the electricity load index set a new record, with 15,800 megawatts at 2:30 p.m., exceeding the highest load recorded last year, which was 15,670 megawatts.
In spite of the rise in load due to the high temperature yesterday that exceeded 50 degrees Celsius, official sources in the Ministry of Electricity assured that the situation is under control, reports a local Arabic daily.
