Shuwaikh Port Customs officers thwart entry of over 900,000 packets of tobacco

In a successful operation, customs officers at Shuwaikh Port were able to stop the entry of approximately 905,000 packets of tobacco from coming into the country. The officers were conducting a thorough inspection of a caravan that arrived at the port, and during the examination, they found a secret cache, reported Al-Rai Daily.

The officers discovered 15,019 bags, each containing 60 envelopes of tinpack tobacco, totaling 905,460 packets. The necessary customs procedures were taken to prevent the contraband from entering the country.
