The Director of the Sharia Documentation Department at the Ministry of Justice, Dr. Fahd Al-Dhaen reported an increase in marriages between Kuwaitis by 16.5% during 2021, recording 11,363 couples tying the knot an increase of 1,882 marriages than 2020.
Al-Dhaen told a local Arabic daily 94 Kuwaitis married to 4 wives, 700 married three women, and about 11,000 men married two wives.
Statistics show the first five years of marriage spell danger, because during this time the spouses have to come to a kind of compromise between them.
