A comprehensive Shamel 8 exercise will be held this morning in Arifjan, under the auspices of the Prime Minister, His Highness Sheikh Ahmed Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, and in the presence of the First Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Interior and Acting Minister of Defense Sheikh Talal Al-Khaled, reported an Arab daily. The exercise has been held annually since 2014 and includes 34 ministries and government agencies.
On the other hand, the head of the General Fire Force, Lieutenant General Khaled Al-Mekrad, chaired the final meeting of the committee to remove violations that conflict with safety and fire prevention conditions in the building of the General Fire Force Presidency. The meeting was conducted in the presence of representatives of the concerned authorities, where the recommendations that the committee deems appropriate to be submitted to the Minister of Interior and Acting Minister of Defense Sheikh Talal Al-Khalid to take the necessary measures, in order to implement these recommendations among the concerned government agencies, to avoid or limit the recurrence of violations that are inconsistent with safety and fire prevention requirements.
Moreover, Lieutenant General Al-Mukrad thanked the participating parties and stressed the importance of teamwork and adhering to safety and fire prevention requirements to protect lives and reduce losses.
