Seven new cases of Coronavirus confirmed in Bahrain, Raising the number to 33

Ministry of health, Bahrain, confirmed seven new coronavirus cases on twitter yesterday. They also informed that all the new cases have come from Iran and have not entered the country.

Following tests that confirmed they were carrying Covid-19, upon arrival at Bahrain International Airport via indirect flights from Iran, The Infected individuals were transferred immediately to Ebrahim Khalil Kanoo Community Medical Center for isolation and treatment. For prevention from the spreading of the virus all the individuals who were in direct contact with the patient have been quarantined.

The ministry also stated that one of the newly recorded cases was a resident of Bahrain who had returned from Iran before the pandemic was declared by the government. Having shown Covid-19 signs, the resident, who called 444, was immediately moved to medical isolation.
It can be expected from Bahrain to monitor all the entry points to the country for better protection from the virus.
The ministry also urges citizens and residents who have visited Iran during February to self-isolate immediately and call 444 to schedule a medical examination as they pose a risk to their families and communities.
