Seven gastronomic students graduate, take title of chef at CEE Network Lifestyle Workshop

Seven chef students who have accomplished required courses prescribed by CEE Network Kuwait Lifestyle Workshops graduated Friday along with students of Breads and Pastries for Bakeries Batch 33. CEE Network’s Chief Executive Officer Dina Al Mallak, Chief Operations Officer Jassem Burhama and Acting Labor Attaché Cathy Duladul graced the occasion and performed the ceremonial investitures, Toque and awarding of certificates. The event was held at the function hall of Best Western Plus Hotel.

The occasion started with the entry to the hall of the Master chefs, trainers and graduates. Opening remarks was delivered by the Project Manager followed by the welcome remarks from the company’s COO. Acting Labor Attaché Cathy Duladul gave a brief but inspiring message to the graduates and thanked CEE Network for its tireless mentorship to the OFWs and close collaboration with the Philippine Overseas Labor Office and Overseas Workers Welfare Administration in Kuwait. Certificates of completion were given to seven students who finished the Breads and Pastries Course with those from the Japanese cuisine classes.

Masterchefs Mariel Macalalad, Mariefe Torio, Elizabeth Tendenilla, Beatriz Carvajal and Malou Lacorte were also present to witness the occasion. “As trainers we take pride in the accomplishments of our students and we gave them the assurance of our continued support as they start this new ventures” stated
Torio, Masterchef in charge of providing trainings of scholarships for domestic workers. Masterhef Macalalad, Masterchef for Breads and Pastries for Bakeries congratulated everyone for their accomplishment and recognition.

The occasions’ highlight was the wearing of Chef jackets assisted by the company’s CEO and placing of toques on the heads by the CEO. Certificate of Recognition was awarded by the Acting Labor Attaché to complete the ceremony. Family and friends of the graduates were present during the occasion to witness the ceremony. CEE Network Lifestyle Workshops also announced its full week classes and addition of newest trainers to the faculty of trainers. New sets of courses which will commence in coming weeks have also been announced, courses include Painting, Graphic and Visual Design, First Aid and CPR and more new cooking classes. Project manager thanked everyone for their support and assistance. CEE Network is in collaboration with FRiENDi in various projects, among which are the Basic Baking Course for domestic workers, Re-Integration Program and ASEAN activities and events.
