The so-called Bachelors Committee of the Hawalli Governorate Municipality branch took decisive action by sealing off plots 11 and 12 in the Salmiya area.
This move came in response to numerous complaints regarding the improper use of these plots, which were being transformed into investment housing rented out to individual tenants, reports Al-Rai daily.
Recently, the team completely sealed off the entrances and exits of these plots, employing security assistance to prevent any potential conflicts between inspectors and the tenants.
The team closely monitored a group of properties that were in violation, housing single tenants. Moreover, certain properties were confirmed to breach building regulations by exceeding construction limits and creating “partitions” and divisions, forming small rooms with areas not exceeding two meters.
