Ministry of Interior (MoI) has launched an intensive campaign, during the work suspension period from 12 to 29 March, to ensure that those who entered the country after 27 February are not violating the 14-day mandatory home quarantine period.
Expatriates found in breach of the quarantine period would be transferred to the deportation prison pending their deportation from the country, said MoI Undersecretary Lieutenant General Issam Al-Naham.
He explained that security officers manning checkpoints will ask for the civil ID of expatriates and using this information they can verify the person’s date of entry into the country.
