Security authorities seize huge quantities of drugs

First Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Interior and Acting Minister of Defense Sheikh Talal Al-Khaled supervised the drugs seizure estimated to be 152 kilograms of narcotic hashish, one million Lyrica tablets, 150 thousand Captagon pills, and 8 kilograms of marijuana and two kilograms of shabu, in addition to 5 unlicensed firearms and live ammunition.

Al-Khaled told the security authorities that he is proud them and thanked them for their distinguished efforts and their fruitful cooperation in confronting drug smugglers and repelling all smuggling methods and attempts, stressing that no one is above the law when it comes to pursuing drug smugglers and drug pushers in order to preserve our country and society, reports Al-Qabas daily.

He called on the security authorities not to be complacent in protecting the country from this devastating scourge.

The General Administration for Drug Control managed these seizures in cooperation and coordination with the General Administration of the Coast Guard and the General Administration of Customs, and through intensive security activity, collecting information and conducting further investigations.
