Saudi Arabia suffers 37 fatalities, 2,429 cases; Qatar reports 389 cases

The Saudi Ministry of Health on Monday confirmed 37 additional deaths and 2,429 more cases of the novel Coronavirus, known as Covid-19.

The latest figures bring the kingdom’s total number of fatalities and infections with the deadly virus to 2,523 and 253,349 respectively, the ministry said in a press statement.

A total of 5,524 more patients were cured of the respiratory illness over the over 24 hours, raising the overall count of recoveries to 203,259 since the outbreak of the virus in the kingdom, it added.

Qatar reports 389 Covid-19 cases, two deaths

The Qatari Ministry of Health announced on Monday that 389 more people tested positive for the novel coronavirus (Covid-19) over the past 24 hours.

The latest figures bring this Gulf country’s total number of confirmed infections with the globally spreading illness to 107,037, the ministry said in a press statement.

The ministry also confirmed two more Covid-19 fatalities, bringing this Gulf country’s death toll to 159 since the outbreak of the disease.

In addition, 405 more people were cured of the deadly bug, taking the overall count of recoveries to 103,782 so far, according to the statement.
