Saudi Arabia reports 44 COVID-19 deaths, 2,331 new cases

Saudi Arabia on Wednesday registered 44 fatalities from coronavirus and 2,331 more infections, upping its death toll to 2,601 while the case tally reached 258,156.

Some 3,139 people recovered from the virus in the past 24 hours, pushing the total number to 210,398, said a health ministry statement.

Saudi Arabia has the highest count among the six Gulf Cooperation Council member states.
