Saudi Arabia reports 39 fatalities, 3,366 cases; Qatar reports 1,828 Covid-19 cases

The Saudi Arabia Ministry of Health on Saturday confirmed 39 additional deaths and 3,366 cases of the novel coronavirus (Covid-19).

The latest figures bring the kingdom’s total number of fatalities and infections with the deadly virus to 932 and 123,308 respectively, the ministry said in a press statement.

A total of 1,519 more patients were cured of the respiratory illness over the past 24 hours, raising the overall count of recoveries to 82,548 since the outbreak of the virus in the kingdom, it added.

The Qatari Ministry of Health announced on Saturday that 1,828 more people tested positive for the novel coronavirus (Covid-19) over the past 24 hours.

This brings this Gulf country’s total number of confirmed infections with the globally spreading illness to 78,416, the ministry said in a press statement, adding that the fresh cases came due to close contacts with previously unveiled virus patients.

In addition, 1,956 more people were cured of the globally spreading bug, taking the overall count of recoveries to 55,252 since the outbreak of the virus in the country, according to the statement.
