Saudi Arabia reports 2,307 new cases, 9 deaths; Qatar registers 1,153 new cases

Saudi Arabia announced Friday, nine deaths due to the coronavirus (COVID-19) and 2,307 new infections.

According to Saudi health authorities, the tally of deaths and infections hit 292 and 49,176 respectively.

Meanwhile, recoveries from the virus reached 21,869 individuals with the addition of 2,818 cases. There are 167 critical cases receiving treatment at the ICU.

Qatar: 1,153 new cases, recoveries at 180

Qatar announced, on Friday, recording 1,153 new cases of the coronavirus (COVID-19) in the last 24 hours, bringing the total to 29,425 cases.

According to the Health Ministry, recoveries from the virus were at 190, raising the whole number of the recuperated to 3,546.

It added that the new contaminations were the result of mingling with infected persons.

Moreover, new infection cases were discovered among expatriate workers in various regions of the country.

The ministry indicated that the new infections were sent to quarantine to receive proper medical treatment.
