Saudi announces 32 deaths in a single day; Qatar reports 1,581 new cases

This brings total number of coronavirus infections in the country to 93,157

Saudi Arabia reported 1,975 new cases of coronavirus, bringing the total number of infections in the country to 93,157, the Ministry of Health announced on Thursday (June 4).

Meanwhile, the ministry reported 806 recoveries today, with total recoveries in the kingdom at 68,965. With 1,381 in Intensive Care Units.

The ministry also confirmed 32 deaths, its highest single-day spike in Covid-19 deaths, taking the toll to 611.

Qatar reports 1,581 new cases, 1,926 new recoveries

Qatar on Thursday announced the detection of 1,581 new coronavirus cases, raising the country’s total number of infections to 63,741.

The Ministry of Public Health revealed that 1,926 patients have made full recovery, pushing to 39,468 the total number of recovered cases so far.

No new fatalities have been reported, keeping the death toll at 45.

There are 24,228 active cases still receiving treatment at medical facilities across the country, while the number of critical cases has risen to 239.

The ministry said the new cases were detected through conducting 4,649 COVID-19 tests, bringing the total number of examined people to 241,086.
