Saudi announces 3,139 new cases and 39 deaths; Qatar reports 1,176 new cases

The Ministry of Health announced the latest updates on Tuesday

Saudi Arabia reported 3,139 new coronavirus cases, pushing the overall infections in the Kingdom to 164,144, the Ministry of Health announced on Tuesday.

Also, 39 more fatalities were confirmed, taking the death toll to 1,346, the ministry said during its daily press conference.

According to the ministry, 4, 710 patients have fully recovered, bringing to 109,885 the total number of recovered people

There are 52,913 active cases, including 2,122 critically ill patients under intensive care, Health Ministry spokesman Dr. Mohammad Al Abdul Ali said during the conference.

Jeddah topped the list of cities with the highest number of daily reported infections with 393 new cases, followed by Dammam with 301 cases, and Riyadh, which saw a significant decline in the daily detected cases with 299.

Qatar reports 1,176 new COVID-19 cases

Qatar’s Ministry of Public Health on Tuesday announced the detection of 1, 176 new coronavirus cases, bringing the country’s total infections to 89,579.

No fatalities have been reported, keeping the death toll at 99. According to the ministry’s daily update, 1,545 more infected patients have made full recovery, taking the total number of confirmed recoveries to 71,501.

Also, there are 17,979 active cases, including 1,087 critical and 225 seriously ill patients under intensive care, while the remaining cases are stable receiving medication at various medical facilities in the country.

During the past 24 hours 4,371 COVID-19 tests have been conducted, pushing the total tests conducted across the country to 328,941.
