Saradhi Kuwait celebrates India-Fest 2019

Saradhi Kuwait celebrated its annual mega carnival, India Fest-2019, on 25 February at the Indian Central School, Abbassiya.

The carnival, which coincided with Kuwait National Day celebrations, was hosted by Saradhi Kuwait in collaboration with various Indian associations hailing from 14 states of India.

The Indian mega-fest, which was being held for the second consecutive year, was marked by numerous activities, including a free medical camp and health checkup by a medical team from Badr Al-Samaa Polyclinic; fashion shows such as Mummy & Me Show, Couples Fashion Show and others, as well as several cooking competitions that were  coordinated and Judged by the famous Chef Noushad from India.

A cultural summit held in the evening began with a welcome speech by the Program General Convenor N.S. Jayan, followed by the event’s inauguration by Saradhi Kuwait President K.V. Sugunan. Felicitations on the occasion were rendered by various officials of Saradhi Trust and Saradhi Kuwait.

Among the distinguished guests attending the event were the Chairman of Kuwait Organ Transplant Center, Dr. Mustafa Al-Mousawi, the Chairman of Medical Oncology Department, Dr. Jassim Al-Barrak and the management team members from the various Indian associations participating in the India Fest, as well as media personnel. Leading oncologist at the Kuwait Cancer Center, Dr. Susovana Nair, volunteered in conducting a free cancer screening session for women.

A tribute was then paid to the Indian soldiers martyred in the recent Pulwama attack, with guests and participants offering their prayers and respects at the Amar Jyothi arranged in the venue.

The carnival with all its glamour and excitement continued from morning till late evening without a break. The entertainment and activities broke all language barriers and saw the attendance and participation of over 6000 Indians from various states of India. The evening was graced by a musical feast by Sheikha, Reeva Maria and renowned drummist Gino K. Jose.

Many of the prominent dance schools in Kuwait staged brilliant performances on the occasion, while a host of other entertainments, including bike shows, games for children, magic shows, DJ shows and a live-kitchen where chefs cooked up culinary delights, entertained the crowd.

Saradhi Kuwait, along with Saradhi Trust and Saradhi Vanitha Vedhi coordinated flawlessly to transform India Fest 2019 into a mega carnival of fun and excitement, memories of which will last for long among the attendees.
