Saradheeyam 2018 celebrated with fervor

Saradhi Kuwait celebrated its 19th Anniversary with ‘Saradheeyam 2018’, on 21 December at Sabah Al-Salem Theatre, Kuwait Khaldiya University. The culturally-rich program started with prayers following which, Sijitha Rajesh, a well-known fusion artist in Kuwait mesmerized the crowd with her Veena Fusion performance.

The Deputy Chief of Mission from the Indian Embassy of Kuwait, Raj Gopal Singh inaugurated the function which was presided by Sugunan K.V, the President of Saradhi Kuwait. The Program General Convener, Jayan Sadasivan delivered the welcome address followed by felicitation by the General Secretary K.R.Aji, Saradhi Patron Suresh Kochath, Saradhi Trust Chairman Suresh.K, Vanitha Vedhi Chairperson Radha Gopinath, Billava Sanga Vice President Sushma Bangara and BEC General Manager Mathews Varughese. Various dignitaries from the Media Sector and from the Socio-Cultural arena of Kuwait were present along with a huge crowd from the Saradhi Family.

Outstanding students who passed 10th & 12th with high Grades during 2018 academic year were honoured with mementos and cash awards. A short video of Phase 1 & 2 of the Flood Relief Support undertaken by Saradhi was shown to the audience. Then the 3rd phase commenced with the Cash Distribution to selected few flood claimants were distributed by Dr. Aamir, Chairman of Help Kerala. Saradhi Treasurer Mr. Biju C.V delivered the Vote of Thanks.

The Housing Development Project of Saradhi aimed at providing a home for the homeless, successfully completed the construction of the first house and BEC General Manager Mathews Varughese handed over the key to a deserving member. Moving ahead with the Housing Project, the construction of the second house for yet another deserving member was announced during the function.

The highlight of Saradheeyam 2018 was ‘Gurusmeram’, the cultural depiction of selected nine Gurudeva Kritikal through traditions dance forms performed by the talented artists from the Saradhi Family, and this one-hour cultural journey was an enthralling experience for onlookers.

Well-known Playback singers and TV fame artists including Sri Hari, Dev Prakash, Sri Ragh, Gowri Lakshmi and Sumi Aravind entertained the crowd with an array of film songs through the late evening. The day reached the climax with the Raffle Gifts being announced for 176 lucky winners.
