Public Authority for Manpower (PAM) does not require a salary certificate for renewing the work permit but one is necessary for an expat to transfer from one sponsor to another, reports Al- Seyassah daily quoting reliable sources.
The authority has also taken several measures to streamline the procedures with regard to salary certificates for workers, and announced companies which employ more than 50 people, can complete the transactions through the ‘WhatsApp’. For companies in the private sector with less than 50 employees, the renewal of work permits can be done online on the website, after signing a commitment to transfer the salaries into bank accounts, and then, the renewal and final cancellation transactions are completed only for travel.
The sources added, for the employer who has less than 50 workers and wants to complete transfer transactions for one of his employees or add employees to his file, he must fix an appointment to obtain a salary certificate that is part of the condition of transfer.
