I always tell those close to me that whoever has not experienced the joy of traveling on a cruise has missed many opportunities to enjoy travel and life.

My cabin, a comfortable retreat with a private balcony overlooking the vast ocean, became my sanctuary during the cruise. The duration of the cruise was a week, and we set off from the Port Canaveral in Florida to Mexico, and then to the Bahamas.
Our first port of call was Ocean Cay in the Bahamas. Entering the island was like entering a postcard with its soft white sand beaches and crystal clear waters. I spent the day snorkeling among the colorful coral reefs, indulging in the local cuisine, and exploring the vibrant culture of this tropical paradise. The Bahamas was the perfect start to our trip.
The next stop of our cruise took us to two parts of Mexico, the island of Cozumel, and to Mexico’s popular cruise port of Costa Maya. In Cozumel, I had the opportunity to explore ancient Mayan ruins, swim in cenotes, and taste authentic Mexican tacos. The juxtaposition of the rich history and natural beauty of Cozumel left a lasting impression on me.
