Royal History Unveiled – The King Charles III Exhibition at Beit Dickson Cultural Center

The exhibition “King Charles III in the Coronation of Queen Elizabeth II,” was held by the Kuwaiti-British relations researcher Issa Dashti at Beit Dickson Cultural Center, in the presence of the British and Romanian ambassadors and a large number of history enthusiasts.

During her speech, Sheikha Hala Bader Mohammed Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah mentioned that King Charles had made eight official visits to Kuwait, all of them when he was Crown Prince and Prince of Wales. His first visit was in 1989, and the first visit with the Queen Consort was in 2007.

She emphasized that the relationship between Kuwait and Britain began in 1775, which both the rulers and people of Kuwait worked to strengthen, while the British Empire worked to solidify and support it.

She mentioned that this exhibition contains beautiful historical photographs and artifacts that testify to His Majesty’s presence when he was four years old and his presence in these ancient historical ceremonies, namely the coronation of his mother. These ceremonies are characterized by the grandeur of the British crown, and now he personally experiences them on his own coronation day.

The strong and distinctive relationship between King Charles III and Kuwait, its rulers, and its people is reflected through this exhibition. She stated, “We, as a government and a people, have deep love, appreciation, and great respect for him.”

In turn, the British Ambassador, H.E Blenda Lewis, stressed the depth of the bilateral relations between Britain and Kuwait in various fields. Lewis stated that Beit Dickson is an architectural testimony to the historic bilateral friendship between the United Kingdom and Kuwait and a symbol of the long-standing partnership between the two countries.

Further expressing her admiration for the exhibition, describing it as magnificent, distinctive, and particularly special due to its collection of rare photographs of King Charles alongside some exquisite clothing and jewelry.
