Officials in the Public Authority for Agriculture Affairs and Fisheries Resources held an open meeting with representatives of companies operating in the agricultural sector, to discuss the reality of cosmetic agriculture in the country, and to provide solutions for irrigation and maintenance of trees and palms in all regions, and to overcome obstacles hampering work of awarding tenders by the concerned authorities..
The Deputy Director of Aesthetic Agriculture Affairs at the authority, Ghanem Al-Sanad, said the meeting reviewed several important aspects in this area and discussed the most prominent obstacles that stand in the way of implementing irrigation and maintenance operations inside residential areas, to ensure that trees, palms and plantations in general do not die.
Al-Sanad told a local Arabic daily the meeting is one of a series of upcoming meetings, including a meeting that will be held today (Tuesday) with representatives of civil society bodies, such as volunteer teams, public benefit associations and others, to listen to their observations.
