The Minister of Municipality, Dr. Rana Al-Faris stressed on the need to respect the national flag hoisted atop government buildings affiliated to the ministry saying if the flag is torn, damaged or disfigured due to harsh weather conditions, it must be replaced immediately.
Al-Faris said in a circular. “It has been observed that there is no complete care for the national flag on some buildings of the entities affiliated with the Ministry of Municipality, and out of concern for respect for state flag and the national symbol that it represents, and its national sovereignty and independence, and its expressiveness I request to show respect for our flag.”
The circular is sent to all sectors, branches and administrative units in all governorates of Kuwait, calls to abide by the following: The general appearance of the national flag on the buildings of the affiliated authorities must be taken into account, and the speed of its replacement if it is torn, damaged or disfigured, the flag should be checked periodically, and to ensure its integrity and validity, and replace it every 3 months, or as often as needed.”
