Research psychologist jailed for supplying illegal drugs to prisoners

The Criminal Court, headed by Counselor Abdullah Al-Othman, sentenced a research psychologist to seven years imprisonment for four charges against him for bringing psychotropic pills and other narcotic substances into the central prison, Al Qabas reported.

In addition, the court fined the accused a total of KD 6,000 in two other charges, in which he was acquitted of the charge of receiving a bribe for the lack of sufficient evidence. Based on the investigations, the accused was supposed to treat prisoners from addiction, but instead supplied them with illegal drugs.
