A British record label plans to release an album of the coronation of Britain’s King Charles III next month, marking the first time a recording of the historic ceremony has been made available to audiences around the world.
The company stated Friday, that it will record the ceremony scheduled for May 6 in Westminster Abbey, as well as the music tracks that will precede the coronation under the title “The Official Coronation Album.” The album will be available for streaming on the Internet and for download on the same day.
A copy of the album, which will be over four hours long, will feature the speeches at the coronation and the music that will be played, which will feature 12 new pieces commissioned by King Charles, will be released on the market on May 15.
