While the authorities operating at Kuwait International Airport continue their efforts to manage the movement of incoming and outgoing passengers, coinciding with the opening of ‘travel for all’, many are preparing to spend the national holidays in some European and Arab countries.
According to statistics prepared by the airport’s agencies, the total expected movement of passengers during 12 days beginning Tuesday, Feb 22 to next March 5 is about 265,000, aboard 2,505 flights.
An informed source told Al-Qabas the statistics indicate that the total departures during the same period will be 146,000 passengers on 1250 flights, while it is expected that 119,000 passengers will arrive on 1254 flights.
According to the statistics, Istanbul, Cairo, Dubai, and Jeddah will see the highest movement of passengers in terms of departures and arrivals.
Meanwhile, the airlines operating at the airport had held several meetings earlier to increase the number of employees to deal with travelers, and to provide all necessary facilities.
The source stated that all travel procedures at the Kuwait Airport are in accordance with the requirements put in place by the health authorities, and called on travelers to familiarize themselves with the requirements for travel in order to secure their travel in a safe and sound manner.
He pointed out that there is a continuous effort to develop and provide all services to airport visitors, by facilitating procedures for all travelers.
