Proposal to modify road entrances and exits in Salwa

In an effort to address the frequent road congestion in Salwa and other areas in the country, a member of the Municipal Council, Nasser Al-Jadaan, submitted a proposal to amend the entrances and exits in Salwa area. An Arab daily reported that Al-Jadaan focused on the population density in the municipality, as well as, the prevalent congestion at its entrances and exits. Salwa has a total population of 81,620 consisting of 28,699 Kuwaitis and 52,921 non-Kuwaitis. Moreover, twelve schools are seated in the area, which makes its streets and roads jammed on a regular basis.

Al-Jadaan proposed to amend the entrances and exits of the Salwa area and establish a roundabout at the entrances. He proposed entrances in Salwa, Bayan and Rumaithiya, as well as, Salwa, Bayan and Mishref. He also proposed an entrance to the Messila Bridge separating the Salwa area and the Sixth Ring Road.
