Privatization of 12 government agencies including airport, ports, public transport

The Minister of Finance and Minister of State for Economic Affairs and Investment, Abdul Wahhab Al-Rasheed, revealed that the technical staff of the privatization program had prepared preliminary studies for public projects proposed to be privatized, which includes 12 destinations — the northern Shuaiba station, the airport, the communications sector, the main sectors of the Ministry of Electricity and Water, KASCO, and information; the public utilities sector, ports, Kuwait Post, Governmental Printing Press, KIPIC, Kuwait Aircraft Fueling Company (KAFCO).

The minister indicated that work is underway to privatize the North Shuaiba power station, indicating that there is fruitful cooperation with the Ministry of Electricity and Water through the committee supervising the privatization of the station and recommend awarding to the evaluation body that achieved the highest evaluation result to the Supreme Council for Privatization for approval and approval of the award, after completing the presentation procedures to the concerned regulatory authorities in the country, reports Annahar daily.

The minister indicated that the last meeting of the Supreme Council for Privatization was held in August 2018 and the last decision was the adoption of the annual report.
