The Ministry of Electricity and Water (MEW) announced that the Jahra substation was out of service, which led to power cuts in several areas in Jahra Governorate. This caused traffic lights and elevators in residential buildings to be stalled, and effect the flow of traffic, and movement respectively, Al Qabas reported.
The ministry said that emergency teams are currently on site to deal with the situation.
