Phil ASMAK to continue efforts to provide Filipinos with job opportunities

Marissa Fernandez, President of Philippine affiliation of Skilled Manpower Agency in Kuwait (Phil ASMAK) affirmed the organization’s commitment to open opportunities that will benefit all skilled Filipino overseas workers during a year ender event held on Friday.

Phil ASMAK, founded in the month of April in 2018, has affiliations of twenty seven recruitment agencies deploying Filipinos and other nationals for professionals, skilled and semi-skilled job posts to Kuwait. In her brief speech, Fernandez also highlighted the organization’s resolution to remain vanguards in safeguarding the welfare of OFWs and in securing their future. She also wished everyone to welcome with bigger hopes and foster a productive challenging future for the year 2019.

Philippine Assistant Labor Attaché JV Baguinda also expressed his congratulatory remarks to the group and explained that the new sets of procedures implemented is beneficial for both the workers and the agencies and they should be adhered to and applied in any given situation. “I know how hard it was for you in the beginning to accept these changes, but I am thankful that everyone finally understood that these new policies are essential and are implemented by our Philippine Agency and recruitment sector,” explained Baguinda. Assistant Labor Attaché Ma. Teresa Olgado also delivered a brief speech and wished the group a great year ahead of them.

Among the highlights of the night were funny games, entertainment and musical numbers. Sol Failakawi also received a standing ovation and applause from the crowd for her humility amidst controversies hurled at her on social media and present was also Jeremy Redulla, a representative in Kuwait of Philippine Social Security System. Prizes were awarded to the winners of the games and raffle draw.
