Directorate General of Civil Aviation clarified today that PCR examination certificate was required only for the airports that require this certificate and is not compulsory for all travellers.
The DGCA also stated that they welcomed many more accredited laboratories in Kuwait that would facilitate the passengers who wish to travel. DGCA further recommends that travelers, before issuing the ticket, inquire from the airline or the travel agency about the procedures that are applied at the airport to which he/she will travel because the procedures differ from one airport to another and are updated from time to time.
Directorate General of Civil Aviation also clarified that the accreditation and licensing of laboratories to conduct a PCR examination for Covid 19 virus is the Ministry of Health who determines the price as well.
