PAM to follow-up domestic workers disputes, inspection via e-platform

The Public Authority for Manpower has launched the e-application platform for the management of the recruitment of domestic workers, inspection services and labor disputes, employers and recruitment offices, in an effort to abolish paper transactions in the issue of domestic workers.

In a press statement on the sidelines of a workshop held to activate the application, the acting director general of the authority, Mubarak Al-Jafour, confirmed it is the beginning of a breakthrough, adding that PAM has begun implementing the inspection of the private sector, followed by the management of labor relations in addition to what is related to domestic workers, in order to protect the rights of everyone.

He explained the application aims to solve disputes between the domestic worker and the employer and between the employer and the recruitment office and the domestic worker, in addition to inspecting the offices and measuring their compliance with the law.

He stated that the authority is committed to the government’s vision of facilitating and enabling all businesses for the largest beneficiary segment, most notably domestic workers concerned with the workshop to activate the system.

Director of the Domestic Labor Department at PAM, Nasser Al-Moussawi, confirmed that the new application will make the inspection and notification system automatic instead of paper, and through it, communication will take place through official means to communicate with recruitment offices and the Ministry of Interior represented by police stations.

He added, “Our goal is to resolve disputes between the parties to the domestic labor contract, whether the recruitment office, the employer or a domestic worker as possible.”

For her part, the Director of the Information Systems Center Department, Rabab Al-Osaimi, said that the domestic labor system is based on three important pillars — the domestic labor disputes system related to the complaints service of stakeholders, the administrative inspection system and the smart inspection dedicated to inspectors.
