The Acting Director General of the Public Authority for Manpower, Dr. Mubarak Al-Azmi, has canceled the earlier decision which limited the yearly increment to 50 dinars.
According to the circular, a copy of which was obtained by a local Arabic daily, “Based on the public interest, the restriction on increasing the worker’s wage to not more than 50 dinars annually shall be cancelled,” reports a local Arabic daily.
The circular stated, “The new decision is being adhered to by the competent departments, and the previous circular dated May 4, 2015 stands canceled.”
Sources in the Public Authority for Manpower indicated that the canceled circular allowed business owners in the private sector to increase workers’ salaries annually according to the agreement and the employer’s vision.
