PAM launches an Intensive crackdown on expat violators of the labor law and residency law

The  Public Authority for Manpower (PAM)  along with the Ministry of Interior (Residency Affairs) and the Kuwait Municipality has launched a series of campaigns on random markets in the country targeting expats violators of the labor law and residency law.

Daily campaigns are being carried in Khaitan, Jleeb Al Shuyoukh, Farwaniya, Wafra, Kabad, and Jahra areas, an Arabic Daily reported.

According to media reports, a total of 100 violators have been arrested through the campaign so far has. The Jleeb campaign has witnessed at least 30 expats who are on article 18 or 20  being arrested on a daily basis who work in places apart from where their sponsors are and are violators of residence law.

 In Kabad and Wafra areas 25 workers were arrested selling foodstuff, vegetables, and fruits in the makeshift market.
