The Public Authority for Manpower (PAM) has begun auditing the educational qualifications of expats before renewing or transferring work permits. This auditing of qualification and job titles is being carried as per the Gulf Guide for Occupational Classification and Description, Al Qabas daily reported.
The job classification is the following- Legislators, Managers, Specialists, Technicians, Professional assistants, Clerks, Workers in sales and services, Skilled workers in agriculture, forestry, fisheries and fishing, craftsmen and the professions associated with them, Factory and machine operating workers and assembly workers.
The new classifications defined the job titles for workers according to their academic qualifications, whether they are university or a diploma. Teachers, doctors, and journalists are also linked to their qualifications so that employees in all sectors work according to their specialty.
