PAK Donors organizes Blood Donation Drive

Pakistani Blood Donors organized a blood donation drive with the support of IEC Kuwait (Youth Wing), Kuwait Central Blood Bank, Embassy of Islamic Republic of Pakistan, and Toastmaster International to honour the humanitarian spirit of late Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah and his extraordinary services to humanity. A large number of people from several nationalities participated and paid their tribute to the late Emir. A total of 147 pints of blood were collected.

Ambassador of Pakistan to Kuwait H.E Syed Sajjad Haider and his wife (president of International Women Group Kuwait ) were also present. 

During his address, H.E Syed Sajjad Haider expressed his utmost respect and gratitude for late Amir and his efforts for humanity. He also appreciated the arrangements and adherence to COVID-19 SOPs guidelines issued by the Government of Kuwait. Mrs. Ambassador praised the efforts of the late Amir for the benefit of humanity and the people of Kuwait. She also appreciated the overwhelming participation of women and praised female volunteers and donors.

Dr. Samia Al Seidan (President Green Hands Environmental Team & Social Activist) also graced the event along with a team of Green Hands Volunteers to encourage donors. She appreciated the efforts of the organizing team, arrangements made by Kuwait Blood Bank, and an overwhelming number of donors those who came forward to pay tribute to late Amir. NCM Investment, a well-known Kuwait business organization, also participated in the event under its CSR program.

Pakistani community showed its deep interest and commitment to this noble cause by their presence in large numbers. Mr. Arif Butt (Chairman Pak Donors) and Mr. Ehsanulhaq (Snr Advisor Pak Donors) congratulated the team on another extremely successful event by Pak Donors. The event ended with a note of thanks from the team Pak Donors & team Islamic Education Committee and appreciation for organizing all other team members who selflessly made sure the success of the event. Pak Donors aspires to inspire other communities to spread awareness of blood donation in Kuwait.
