PAHW says 14 companies vie for South Sabah Al-Ahmad project

After waiting more than 5 years, the Public Authority for Housing Welfare announced the opening of bid envelopes for the tender for the construction, completion and maintenance of main road works, main infrastructure service networks and rainwater tanks in the South Sabah Al-Ahmad project.

The Public Authority for Housing Welfare (PAHW) showed that the total number of companies that submitted their bids amounted to 14 companies, while the value of the lowest bids amounted to about 112.797 million dinars, reports Al-Qabas daily.

An informed source told the daily the award of the tender will be after submitting the technical study of the project by the company with the lowest bidder, in accordance with the evaluation requirements and criteria stipulated in the tender documents and their technical specifications.

On the other hand, the Public Authority for Housing Welfare revealed the distribution of 94% of the housing units in the project south of Sabah Al-Ahmad City.

A recent statistic, of which Al-Qabas obtained a copy, indicated that the total number of distributed units amounted to 19,111 housing units out of 20,380 units, indicating that the total number of citizens who were allocated in the project amounted to 6,898 citizens for applicants until December 2020.

It indicated that the total number of public buildings that are still under construction is 76, including 26 buildings in Al-Mutla’a City, 16 buildings in the east of Sabah Al-Ahmad, 31 buildings in the south of Abdullah Al-Mubarak, and 3 buildings in the west of Abdullah Al-Mubarak.

The Foundation stated that it had distributed 22,177 ‘To Whom It May Concern’ certificates to citizens in preparation for the issuance of building orders in 3 major housing projects, namely Al-Mutla’a, South Abdullah Al-Mubarak, and Khaitan.
