The teams from the Public Authority for Food and Nutrition carried out inspection tours in the governorates of Ahmadi and Hawalli, to ascertain the extent of compliance with the applicable rules and regulations, which resulted in the closure of four food establishments, and the issuance of seven various violations.
In two separate statements published by the authority on its Twitter account, the authority stated that the Ahmadi Governorate Inspection Department had seized an unlicensed food store that did not meet health requirements, as it was closed immediately for violating the authority’s regulation.
The source pointed to a tour conducted by the Hawalli Governorate Inspection Department in the Salmiya area, which resulted in the issuance of seven citations and the closure of three food establishments.
