The Ministry of Health is coordination with the Public Authority for Food and Nutrition is determined to reduce cases of food poisoning.
A local Arabic daily quoting informed sources, said the two sides will work to find out the causes of poisoning, and PAFN is said to be setting up mechanisms and procedures to tighten control over foodstuffs including ensuring that food handlers are medically fit.
The sources indicated the medical staff in the health facilities has been requested to report any cases of food poisoning immediately to help PAFN look for the source of poisoning and take disciplinary measures in the best interest of the citizens and residents.
This is in addition to upgrading cooperation in the health area between the Ministry of Health and the Food and Nutrition Authority.
